The Splendor NXG, which came out in the middle of the last decade, is a modern version of Hero's second most famous motorcycle. Like the original, it is cheap to run, looks good, and is easy to maintain. The front cowl and colour schemes of the Splendor NXG are a little bit more modern, but the bike still has the same general shape. It comes in four different styles and only has one engine option. The most basic model has spoke wheels and a kick-start, while the most expensive has alloy wheels and an electric start. The Splendor NXG has only the most basic features and instrument panel. It has a speedometer, a fuel gauge with a low fuel indicator, and a multi-reflector headlight. It comes in two different colour combinations: black with purple stripes or black with red stripes. The Splendor NXG, like the rest of Hero's commuter range, is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 97cc engine that makes 7bhp and 8Nm of torque. A four-speed sequential gearbox sends the power to the back wheel. It goes up against the Honda Dream Yuga, the Suzuki Hayate, the Bajaj Platina, and the Yamaha Crux.
